Me, my journey, my why.

I'm Rebecca and I have been following a more natural path since 2017 when I was first introduced to essential oils, although looking back I think my pregnancy and birth of my child in 2011 may have really been where it all began.

I was interested in hypnobirthing but couldn't justify the price so decided to research and do it alone. This is where I began to have such great respect for the body's abilities. I don't think I had ever really thought about it before. I remember reading that my body was capable of birthing even if I was in a coma which blew my mind! I went from someone who had always relied on medicines when prescribed and not really considering any other options; to having my baby in a pool, in the kitchen at home with no pain relief whatsoever. Now I am not saying I felt no pain, I hadn't got myself to that level of control but I remember my midwife saying I had made it look too easy and I would get no sympathy from my hubby! I can see now that this and the wonder at how my body could create and nourish this whole new human opened me up to alternative choices and I began to explore alternative ways to support mine and my family's health.

First on my journey was my discovery of essential oils. I can't remember a time when I didn't suffer from headaches and migraines and sinus issues. A chance reunion with a uni friend had me beginning to explore using essential oils to support me with these issues. I had a prescription for steroids sitting at home that I never took to the chemist and I have only used natural methods since. When I heard there was a therapeutic massage method of applying the oils I jumped at the chance to train and certified as in the Aromatouch Technique in 2017.

In 2018 I experienced the most amazing Reiki treatment at a local wellbeing fair. I had had Reiki before but never felt it like this and I was hooked. She put me in contact with her teacher and I gained my Level 1 and 2 Usui Reiki qualification and later level one Rainbow Reiki with Walter Lubeck.

My journey continued. As a teacher I was increasingly interested in supporting children with their mental health and I qualified as a Relax Kids Coach, running community classes and incorporating it in my day job within a primary school. I was introduced to EFT as a self help tool that I could see would lend itself to use in the classroom as well. I began to explore and the more I did the more I fell in love. Decision made, I would become an EFT practitioner. EFT has transformed my own life and I am SO grateful to be able to offer it as a tool to support others.

EFT opened up possibilities to me that I could only have dreamt of. Prior to that I was so trapped, within my job, within my mindset. For a long time I didn't even realise how low I had sunk and even when that awareness was there, a solution seemed out of my reach and I just kept on keeping on. I eventually hit a wall (metaphorically speaking) and it was then that I realised just how powerful this new tool I had was for myself. I had been focusing on using it for others and telling myself I'd sort myself out later. I have transformed my life and I am so passionate about using it to help others release themselves from situations that they feel they have no control over. My only regret is not doing it sooner. As I continue on my journey with a much lighter heart and the knowledge that I can do hard things and not just survive but actually thrive.

I chose the image of the river above as a representation of life. Acceptance that there will be fast parts and slow parts and inevitable rocky parts with obstacles of varying sizes but with EFT I know and trust I will find a way. I am here to help you find your way too.
